Berg Hospitality Group was founded by Benjamin Berg, a New York native who brought a distinct "big city" service mentality to Houston’s dining scene. The group launched in 2015 with B&B Butchers & Restaurant on Washington Avenue, which quickly became famous for being one of the only steakhouses in the country to dry-age its own USDA Prime beef on-site. Berg’s venues are known for their high-energy atmosphere, impeccable service, and luxurious interiors, catering to a clientele that values seeing and being seen.

The group has expanded aggressively, reviving legacy locations like the former Cafe Annie (now The Annie Café & Bar) and introducing new concepts like Trattoria Sofia and the Cuban-inspired speakeasy Emilia’s Havana. Beyond the food, Benjamin Berg has established himself as a major philanthropic figure in the city, frequently organizing large-scale fundraisers for first responders and local charities.
